Hell on wheels

After a tiring day at the Albert Park Library I was looking forward to spending a quiet night with slow cooked lamb shanks and my latest thriller. Instead, I ended up in Reservoir watching tattooed girls in leopard print take each other out at the roller derby. Rock n roll.

Sorry, lazy post tonight because I really do want to finish my book and the dhal I am cooking is looking like pig swill.

i ohhh so loved the roller derby - used to go every week in the 60s... did you see my post about it? (http://wizewomon.blogspot.com/search?q=roller+derby)... Adeline Hocker and Ralphie Valaderez and the Los Angeles Thunderbirds - i was smitten - i couldn't get enough of it...

and dhal that looks like swill sounds so much more appetizing to me than food containing dead animal!!!!

Whilst I happen to be quite a fan of the dead animal, the dhal did most certainly NOT look like swill nor did it taste like swill.

It was, in point of fact, entirely delicious.

So much so that we've decided to have it again tonight!

go the dhal... you can only make lentils taste better!!!!! they have a wonderful way of 'lending themselves' to other flavours...
