New cardi

A librarian can never have enough cardies! My gorgeous mum is knitting me a pattern from the ever fabulous Stitches in Time vintage knitting book: the bobble cardigan. It's a bit of a mystery at this stage because she had trouble sourcing wool in the country. I don't even know what colour it is. But I can't wait until a brown paper package tied up with string arrives! - Toodle Pip!

Cardigan is progresing nicley with the bobble bits easy(ish) to do. It's knitted with negative ease so hopefully will fit. I love doing it huddled cosily by the fire. Sourcing the wool is a major difficulty, firstly because the books specify English wool unobtainable in shops here and secondly, the Portland outpost has to survive on rations of wool from the big city, so again, a purchaser has to be canny and hope that what they select will do. So... another three weeks and a parcel should arrive. Quelle excitement!!!
